DSG Technology Ltd offers welding services of details through the TIG and MIG/MAG welding methods. We perform welds on:
Welding is one of the most widely used technological processes in the industry for the production of monolithic non-breakable joints. The metal structures whose parts are joined by welding are characterized by a simpler and more lightweight construction in comparison to the metal structures whose parts are joined with some other type of connection.
TIG welding
The technological properties of welding with a non-consumable electrode in an inert gas protection environment are determined by how the arc is energized between the electrode and the device. The arc’s supply can be straight or reverse polarity or alternating current. As this kind of welding requires the arc to melt the base metal, it is preferable for welding of thinner elements mainly. The welding process can be carried out in all spatial positions, and the quality of the seam depends largely on the reliability of the protection.
MIG and MAG welding
Welding with a consumable electrode is characterized by a high current density, reaching up to 100-400 A /mm2, and favorable conditions created by the inert environment for transferring the liquid metal through the arc gap. The high current density induces the appearance of low ionized plasma with an increased arc temperature of approximately 12,000 to 15,000 °C. This in turn provides a great weld penetration and high productivity. Due to the inability to conduct active metallurgical processes in the welding zone, an additional metal, with a chemical composition identical to that of the base metal, is used.
